Pacem has an internship opportunity for a college student interested in education and human deployment. The position is unpaid, and offers the intern an opportunity to develop hands on experience working to help Pacem develop and expand into its next decade.

 

Internship tasks:

  • Work with the Pacem School Executive Director and specific Board members to implement projects
  • Be available for four hours per week during the academic year (hours may vary week to week)
  • Be available to work both at the Pacem School and remotely
  • Be able to grasp objectives of a project and work independently to fulfill those objectives under the guidance of the Executive Director or Board member
  • Communicate effectively both in written and oral form
  • Identify relevant external stakeholders
  • Interact successfully with members of the Pacem community and external stakeholders

 

Potential internship projects:

  • Developing and managing the annual silent auction benefit
  • Developing promotional material
  • Implementing specific tasks of existing fundraising projects
  • Assist in implementation of annual events
  • Developing community outreach activities to be incorporated into the Pacem learning program

 

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a relevant college program
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to start and complete projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
